I have been a part of the multi sport community for over 10 years as an athlete, volunteer, coach, medical professional and race director.  I have helped hundreds of individuals to cross the finish line.  I am a former head coach for the American Stroke Association's Train to End Stroke Program in the SF Bay Area, current head coach for the Papillion Triathlon training program, and I have assisted in Team in Training in  Eastern Pennsylvania.  I have also been a part of the Active Release Techniques treatment team at Ironman Lake Placid.  In all my years of coaching different individuals, I have developed a unique philosophy on coaching.

Anyone can obtain a training program and follow through with it.  A coach's role is not merely to develop a training program but to hold the athlete accountable; to identify weak areas and exploit strengths.  More importantly, a coach is there to motivate and encourage.

I work well only with those that are dedicated to achieving the highest levels possible.  I specifically coach individuals who want to complete an Ironman, half-Ironman, and ultra marathon events.

I specialize in biomechanics and injury prevention. My extensive knowledge of the human body and physiology comes from obtaining a doctorate in chiropractic.

Lactate threshold and VO2 max testing is a requirement for coaching with me.  In addition, a biomechanic analysis on the bike/swim/run will be performed prior to any training program given.

I grew up on a competitive swim team and that ultimately made me a swimmer for life.  After completing my first sprint triathlon in the summer of 2013, I caught the triathlon bug and knew PTG was the place for me.

I hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  I currently work as a teacher during the school year and spend my off hours as a wellness coach and personal trainer at the YMCA.  In the near future I will be attaining a masters swim coach certification through U.S. Masters Swimming.  I also hope to complete a master’s degree in exercise science one day.

I work well with first time triathletes and those that are ready to take their swim skills to the next level.

Coaching is not just about great programming, but also great relationships.  I look to form a relationship as your coach and motivator that will lead you to not only reach your goals, but to surpass them.
